Delicious food, not just chic mickey local, just rustic, "resinous" - if there is that :) Friendly service, nice boss. Offer your guests and all tourists passing by free WiFi via Freifunk Harz e.V. And this although there is hardly any mobile phone network etc. available there.

On August 25th, 2020, I wanted to stop by with my son with a sundae and coffee to end a beautiful day. A very manageable ice cream menu, especially because it's called a café and restaurant. After we had ordered a Sweden sundae, a blue Klaus, a latte macchiato and a cola, it came a short time later. My ice cream sundae 3 small scoops of ready-made ice cream a dab of applesauce and cream, € 6.20 with a shot of eggnog, the whole thing costs € 8.20. I understand prices, but not in proportion! It's a shame that I was so perplexed that I forgot to take a photo. The people next to me noticed all this and only ordered a scoop of ice cream for their little daughter so that they could stop off somewhere else (wise decision)! Everything, especially the toilets, looks old! The waitress was also very overwhelmed, it gradually got full. It takes a little overhaul to keep guests entertained. Next time we'll be somewhere else!

After a trip to Falkenstein Castle, have a bite to eat, that was the plan. It was just a little thing. From a seemingly overwhelmed waitress we got the fairly manageable menu after a while. I chose Soljanka a lot, but for the price of € 5.50 I expected more than a portion the size of a small coffee cup ... I would have expected more for such an exposed location. What a shame

After visiting Falkenstein Castle, we wanted to have a little snack before the return trip. Unfortunately it takes almost 20 minutes before we even got to see the map, which was very manageable. The Solyanka was fine. The large portion of fries was unfortunately as shown in the picture, too little and without mayonnaise. On request we got this, but with an eye roll. 3.50 for this portion, I find the quality of rather moderate fries quite exaggerated. You had to look for seats for the very uncomfortable chairs yourself. A completely overwhelmed waitress rushed from table to table trying to be friendly. We were very disappointed and would have expected much more from a location in this location. What a shame

Arrived from a hike shortly before the gate closed, were received nicely but with the clear indication that the kitchen is closed. But still a nice place.

Nice ambience, friendly staff, great excursion idea, snack bar and eatery but a star deduction because of the high price level! Otherwise recommended.

Were eating at the snack in front of the garden shed. Very friendly service. Delicious food and ice cream. Top.

Nice café in front of Falkenstein Castle. The service is nice and courteous. We just drank something.

Super café good conditions but you should register in time to make room for several people. The cake is recommended

Very good food and drinks for the small budget. Nice staff, always courteous, open to requests and suggestions. Even dogs can find their place here on request. The quality of the food leaves nothing to be desired.

Beware of larger celebrations, the simple math "counting" is not one of their strengths. Always keep a tally sheet with you. Otherwise it will be even more expensive than it already is. Food well Service leaves a lot to be desired. I will not recommend it to anyone, rather I advise against it.

Too bad that you have to give at least one star! Once and never again! Unfriendly service, poor service and overpriced prices for not exactly delicious food. A few kilometers further, in the Leinemühle, you get the opposite! Very friendly staff and delicious food.

A very nice restaurant, delicious food and super fast service. We had the daily menu Kale with Kassler, Mettwurst and parsley potatoes, very, very yummy. I plead for a firm attitude of the cook and the nice young woman who served us. And the price was right.

There is a large parking lot about two kilometers from Falkenstein Castle. There the so-called little train to the above-mentioned castle starts. The restaurant is at the bus stop. It is very rustic and comfortably furnished. The menu offers many regional dishes at fair prices. There are also delicious cakes and a good ice cream menu. The service is friendly and attentive. The waiting time, despite a full house, was relatively short.

Everything is still going, as the waiter says !! But not as it should !!! Instead of potatoes comes chips and sauerkraut instead of salad, the prices for this restaurant a lot, much overpriced. There is nothing special for which you could ask for the prices. The portions kept very small.

A shady spot and friendly service what more could you ask for? Maybe a tasty light meal and we got that too. So everything is fine. Thanks for the nice little break ....

So it was really nice there. Have not been there for a long time. Eating are not huge portions, but still very tasty and successful. Prices are ok. There is also an extra room where music can be played and even danced to. Top. Gladly again.
